How to Grow a Zebra Haworthia (Zebra Cactus)

Some of my Zebra Cactus plants get reddish leaves. Is this too much or too little water? Also, if you could give me any care tips that would be great.

Hi,

The leaves of a Zebra Cactus (Zebra Haworthia)  turn red when the plant is being exposed to direct sunlight or too much bright light (similar to what happens to a Christmas Cactus). Haworthias are small, slow growing succulents that are very easy to care for and grow almost anywhere in a home or office. They love bright indirect light indoors but still grow well in medium light. Use a cactus soil or something similar that is sandy and drains quickly. Water well and then allow the soil to dry out before watering again. During the winter these plant need even less water unless the air is very dry. fertilize during the summer with a cactus. A Zebra cactus likes warm temperatures and are damaged if the temperature goes below 50°F (10°C).
