Why Do Palm Plants Turn Yellow

Can you tell me why my plant is dying. New palm plant..re-potted and fed it.

Hi,

When you get a new plant you should not feed it or move it to a new pot for at least six weeks; this gives it time to acclimate to its new home. Your palm could just be going into shock from being moved to a new pot and fertilized too soon. Your palm looks like a majesty palm which means it like bright light or fronds turn yellow. The soil should be barely moist but never soggy and the plant should never sit in water. Fronds will turn yellow if the plant is over watered or if the soil totally dries out. You can read more about majesty palms in the Popular Houseplant sectionof the website.
