What is this plant and is it flowering?
Hi. I’ve had this plant for about 15 years. Since I moved, it seems to love the new home. It grew 1-2 feet taller, sprouted 2 new stalks, and now it seems to be flowering. I can’t find images of it online. What is this and is it flowering?
Your plant is called a Dracaena janet craig and yes it is flowering! You can read all about how to grow, maintain, and care for dracaenas in the Popular Houseplant section of the website. The picture is of the bush variety. https://www.houseplant411.com/houseplant/dracaena-janet-craig-plant-how-to-grow-care
Here is a picture of a dracaena janet craig like yours and of a dracaena in bloom.
Dracaena janet craig plants are considered by some to be slightly poisonous, especially to dogs and cats. Read more about common houseplants that are poisonous in Don’t Feed Me To Your Cat! A Guide to Poisonous Houseplants.
