What is a Daisy Orchid?
I got a flowering plant present. The card said Daisy Orchid. It looks just like a daisy flower. Is it really an orchid??
Hi Samantha,
Yes it really is an orchid! The scientific name for a Daisy Orchid is bulbophyllum makoyanum.
A daisy orchid blooms in any season, producing several flowers that resemble daisies. Here are some care tips:
Temperature: Warm temperatures.
Watering: Keep potting mixture moist in summer and do not allow the mix to dry out. During the winter keep the mix slight dry and reduce watering.
Provide good air circulation to prevent fungal growth.
Light: Medium light, no direct sun
Soil: Pot these orchids in sphagnum moss, fine bark
