Brown and Yellow Leaves on Spider Plant

The leaves are turning brown and yellow on my spider plant. I’m not understanding why. Not sure if it’s too warm in the room that it’s in. Please advise.

Hi,

I have found that Spider Plants get yellow leaves with brown tips when there are too many chemicals in the water like chlorine and fluoride. Never use water that has passed through a softener because the water will be too  salty and cause the same brown and yellow problem on the leaves. Finally, this leaf discoloration on your Spider Plant can be caused by too much plant food. If you over-fertilize, the excess salt in the plant food remain in the soil and burns the leaves. Always dilute your plant food to 1/2 the recommended strength.
