How to get Kalanchoe HousePlants to Bloom

Can you tell me the name of this houseplant and how to get it to bloom?

Hi Dan,

From the picture your plant looks like a Kalanchoe. These plants usually bloom from late fall to early winter. Kalanchoes, like Poinsettias and Christmas Cactus, have photo-receptor proteins which tell them when nights are getting longer. Starting in October,  keep your Kalanchoe in darkness for up to 14 hours a day and then place it in bright indirect light the rest of the day. This way, you can force Kalanchoe houseplants to bloom.
