Pilea “Silver Tree”

What plant is this? I think it’s a type of peperomia but I’m not sure.

Hi Samantha,

Your plant is  a Pilea Silver Tree.  A pilea plant needs bright indirect light or the stems become very leggy. However, they never want to be in the direct sun. Keep the soil slightly moist, but not soggy at all times. During the cooler months or when your pilea is not producing new leaves, allow the top 2-3 inches of soil to dry out before watering. Fertilize  every two weeks when a pilea is actively growing with a balanced plant food diluted to 1/2 the recommended strength. You can read all my care tips for a Pilea in the Popular Houseplant section of the website. The picture is of a totally different variety, but the care is the same.
