Natal Mahogany Plant

Trichila Dregeana

The little known Natal Mahogany plant (trichila dregeana), is an excellent upright exotic looking houseplant that loves to be watered. The Natal Mahogany, a hardy, woody, bushy plant with dark green shiny leaves, can reach over 7′ in height and over 4′ in width. Although a Natal Mahogany resembles a Schefflera Amate, it’s more exotic looking and much more forgiving. Interiorscapers have learned that a Natal Mahogany can grow just about anywhere as long as it has enough water. This plant, relatively new to the market, is an absolutely sensational indoor plant from South Africa. It’s perfect for people who tend to over-water.

These plants are considered poisonous and should be kept away from pets and children. Read more about common houseplants that are poisonous in Don’t Feed Me To Your Cat! A Guide to Poisonous Houseplants
