Need Help Identifying

Our cleaning crew in my office set my office plants outside for 10 hours in 20 degree weather. needlesLeaves that are slender, narrow, and do not have a leaf blade are called needles.s to say, neither survived. They are going to replace the plants for me but I need to identify one of them. I have attached a picture. Can you please tell me the name of this plant? I don’t have a picture of when it was healthy, just after it was frozen.

Hi Donna,

Sorry to be so long in getting back to you, but I am a senior citizen and have had the flu. I am trying to answer all the questions that piled up while I was ill as quickly as possible.

Your plant “was” a dracaena marginata. You can try cutting the plant down to about 4″ above the soil line. The roots may still be alive and the plant may grow back again.

Again, I am sorry to have taken such a long time in getting back to you. Please let me know if you need more help.

Best wishes,
