Can you tell me the name of this plant? It is from my workplace and I am going to repot it. I would like to know how to properly care for it. It rarely flowers.
Your plant looks like a type of Kangaroo Fern, Microsorum diversifolium. Kangaroo Ferns, native to Australia and and some parts of New Zealand, are epiphytic evergreens with firm leathery fronds that are oddly shaped and vary in size. Kangaroo Paw Ferns are an example of rhizomatous ferns. The Kangaroo Fern grows to be about a foot tall but can spread out to 2-3 feet in width. I really like how different the easy care Kangaroo Fern Houseplants are and think think they look very attractive in a hanging basket or set on a table in a pretty pot. Here are some care tips.
