Dear Judy, I live in MO and have a Dracaena Marginata and was wondering if I could move it outside onto my deck? It’s on the west side of the house, not covered but I have a tree that gives shade in the afternoon but not in late afternoon/early evening?
You can certainly move your dracaena outside for the summer, but be sure to bring it indoors before nighttime temperatures go below 45 degrees. I am a little concerned about the direct sun burning it, so keep a close eye on the plant for the first week or so. If brown spots appear on the leaves, it’s getting too much direct sun and it needs to be moved immediately, otherwise it should love it.
