At work we have several plants. My Hawaiian Schefflera Plant is dropping leaves at a rate that it will have none soon. I have a set schedule of watering every Friday, same amount of water. Nothing has changed for 6 months, except our lab is manufacturing bio fuels. Can the air quality affect the plant?
The air quality can definitely affect the leaves of a plant. Has the temperature in the room changed? If green leaves are falling off, cut back on your water. If leaves are turning yellow increase the water. Try taking the plant home where the air quality is better and see if it improves.
