After the holidays is it okay to plant my poinsettia plants outside? I saw this poinsettia bush outside in California.
A Poinsettia is a perennial plant, but it was originally grown in tropical regions and does not like cold weather. Poinsettia Plants prefers temperatures of 50 degrees and above and will quickly die if the temperature gets near freezing. If you live in a region where the temperatures get too cold in the winter, you can grow Poinsettias as houseplants and put them outside for the late spring and summer. Just remember to bring them indoors when the nighttime temperatures start to drop.
